Happy Mother’s Day 💐
Motherhood has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
I became a mom very early.
Before I had a career.
Before I fully knew who I was.
Before I had life figured out.
But my baby boy came at the perfect time.
Jamar taught me strength.
He taught me resilience.
He gave me a reason to stay focused and keep pushing forward, even during the hardest seasons of life.
Being a young mom without much support was not easy.
But me and Tony stayed together. We put our heads down, did what was necessary, and kept moving forward.
And somehow, through every challenge, God kept making a way.
Motherhood Comes in Many Forms
As I look back over this journey, I realize something very powerful:
You do not have to give birth to someone to show motherly love.
Some people showed up for us with kindness, patience, wisdom, encouragement, and support exactly when we needed it most.
Those moments stayed with me.
And because of that, I still believe something deeply:
People are good.
A lot more good than bad.
Today, I Honor Every Mother 🤍
Today, I honor:
The young moms.
The single moms.
The exhausted moms.
The praying moms.
The women raising children while still healing themselves.
The women who mother children they did not birth.
The grandmothers, aunties, sisters, mentors, and friends who lead with nurturing love.
And even the men who step in with gentleness, protection, guidance, and care.
Motherhood is not always biological.
Sometimes it’s spiritual.
Sometimes it’s emotional.
Sometimes it’s simply the decision to love deeply and show up consistently.
And that kind of love changes lives.
A Reminder for Today
As I celebrate Mother’s Day surrounded by my family, I’m reminded again how precious life is.
The older I get, the more I understand that success means very little if the people you love don’t get to experience your presence, your kindness, and your heart along the way.
So today, I hope you slow down a little.
Hug your people tighter.
Say the words.
Take the picture.
Enjoy the moment.
Because these are the memories that stay with us forever.
