In the Middle of Building — Don’t Forget Why You Started

Oct 19, 2025
Connect

There’s a part of the journey that no one really talks about — the waiting.
After the excitement of starting something new fades, you enter that quiet middle — where things take longer than you hoped, where progress feels slow, and where faith is tested.

That’s the part that builds you.

When I first started this business, I didn’t have all the answers. I just had a vision, a strong why, and a willingness to take the next step even when the road ahead wasn’t clear.

I worked tirelessly for years, helping others long before I ever saw real income. But every late night, every setback, and every lesson was preparing me for the impact I get to make today.

And I want to remind you — that same preparation is happening for you too.

The Middle Matters Too

We live in a world that celebrates big announcements and instant results, but real growth happens in the unseen middle — where you keep showing up, even when no one’s watching.

The waiting doesn’t mean you’re behind. It’s where God shapes your discipline, sharpens your focus, and strengthens your faith.

So if you’re in that season where the progress feels slow — don’t despise it. You’re building something that will last.

And remember, the process can be shortened when you have the right mentor. A mentor helps you avoid the costly mistakes, stay accountable, and move forward faster.b

For Me...

It’s been a full and exciting week!

My middle son just turned 13, and we’re already planning Leah’s ninth birthday party — so between serving clients and the community, there’s been a lot of celebration (and cake!).

Jamar also took his senior pictures, and I’ll be sharing one of those in the next newsletter — I can’t believe how quickly time is flying.

Moments like these remind me that while we’re building businesses and serving others, it’s just as important to celebrate life and the people we love along the way.

Big Wins & Business Highlights

This week has been one of victory and momentum!

  • Marie Alsaint, a dedicated nurse, officially got her ALF license — a major milestone we’re celebrating together!
  • One of my clients even had AHCA show up unannounced for an inspection — and they passed! That’s the kind of readiness we prepare for every day.
  • I also mailed out several ALF licensing packets for clients who are next in line to get approved — so stay tuned for more success stories coming soon!

And of course, we’re still selling tickets for the 2026 ALF & Caregivers Conference. If you plan to attend, now’s the perfect time to secure your spot before we sell out again.

This Week on the Podcast 🎙️

This week, I had two incredible conversations that I can’t wait to share with you!

  • Faith-Marie Griffiths, MSN-RN — Founder of Treasure Coast Senior Placement Solutions, a two-time entrepreneur, speaker, wife, mother, and host of Caring for Aging Loved Ones.
  • Shannon M. Miller, Esq. — Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney and founder of The Miller Elder Law Firm, with nearly 30 years of experience protecting Florida’s seniors.

Both shared deep wisdom on leadership, caregiving, and building with purpose — conversations you’ll definitely want to catch when the episodes drop on YouTube.

If you’d like to be a guest on the podcast, reply to this email with the word PODCAST and include your phone number. My team will reach out to schedule a time to connect.

New on YouTube

A brand-new episode of the podcast was recently released! In this powerful conversation, I sat down with Eddie Mohamed, President and CEO of Alliance Business Solutions, to uncover the truth about funding your Assisted Living Facility (ALF) the smart way.

Takeaway for the Week

Don’t rush the process — trust it.

Keep your vision in front of you, your faith strong, and your words in alignment with the future you’re building.

You were created to thrive — even here, even now, in the in-between.
