Learning to Work, Live, and Explore — All at the Same Time

A New Kind of Balance in 2026

In 2026, I’m being very intentional about what work–life balance looks like for me.

I want to see the world.
I want to be present with my family.
And I also want to continue serving my clients with excellence.

Right now, I’m in a different phase of business.

I’ve built systems.
I have a team.
And I’ve reached a stage where structure allows for freedom — but responsibility still matters deeply.

I’m also a mom. And that role will always come first.

Still In the Business, Just Differently

I don’t believe in completely stepping away from my business. I think there’s something special about being in it, even if your role evolves over time.

I take my clients very seriously. These aren’t just files — they’re people’s dreams, livelihoods, and futures. That means no ball can be dropped.

So how do I balance conference planning, client files, leadership decisions, and family life?

I wake up early. Very early.

I’m an early bird, and I use that time wisely. I read, review priorities, respond to the emails that only I can handle, make important calls, and ensure everything is on track — even though I don’t manage my inbox day to day.

When I’m traveling or on vacation, I do the same thing. I wake up before my family is up, get the critical work done, delegate what needs to be delegated, and confirm that business is running smoothly.

By the time my family wakes up, my most important work is already handled.

Then we go enjoy life.

Later in the day — sometimes even while having dinner — I’ll quickly check in with my team to make sure everything is still flowing. That’s leadership. Quiet, consistent, and intentional.

The Power of Being Surrounded by Good People

One thing I’ve learned is this:
When you are a good person who genuinely wants to do right by others, eventually you will be surrounded by good people who want to see you win.

I’m blessed to be surrounded by people who cheer us on, support the vision, and want to see us succeed.

That didn’t happen overnight. But it always comes back around.

Honoring the Inner Child and Choosing Joy Now

I started working when a child shouldn’t have been working.

Now, I’m 40. My children are older. And I feel called to explore, to live, and to honor the inner child who didn’t always get the opportunity to do so.

I don’t want to wait anymore. I want to do it now.

That doesn’t mean everything goes perfectly. It doesn’t.
Plans change. Things don’t always flow the way I expect.

But I’m willing to adapt.
I’m willing to pivot.
I’m willing to accept that sometimes things won’t go my way — and still move forward with grace.

Do I still work late sometimes?
Do I still have very early mornings?
Absolutely.

But it’s no longer my default. And that matters.

A Birthday, A Trip, and a Lesson in Letting Go

This month, we celebrated my husband’s birthday while also preparing to welcome our sold-out conference attendees. Life is full, and I’m grateful for all of it.

During our trip, one moment stood out to me — zip lining.

It taught me something powerful.
Once I let go of fear and leaned in, the view became breathtaking.

God’s glory is truly beautiful.

We’ve decided as a family to do trips instead of birthday parties or physical gifts. Each person chooses a destination for their birthday. Since Tony and I share the same birthday month, we celebrate together with one longer trip.

As a family of five, where should we go next?
I’d love your recommendations — reply and tell me.

Here are some photos from the trip so you can experience it with us.

2026 ALF Caregivers Conference — SOLD OUT

What started as a vision has become a fully booked reality, and I am deeply grateful to every attendee, sponsor, volunteer, speaker, and supporter who said yes to being part of this experience.

The 2026 ALF Caregivers Conference will be filled with learning, connection, clarity, and transformation. We are preparing to welcome an incredible room of caregivers, operators, and leaders who are ready to elevate their work and impact.

If you secured your seat, get ready — this is going to be powerful.

The ALF CEO Mastermind — Going Deeper

For those who want more than inspiration and are ready for personalized insight, real strategy, and hands-on learning, the ALF CEO Mastermind is your next step.

This Mastermind is not happening in a hotel conference room.

It’s taking place inside a real, operating Assisted Living Facility —
📍 Allegro Fort Lauderdale, FL

That means you’ll be learning in a live environment where care is being delivered, systems are in motion, and leadership decisions matter every single day. You’ll be able to see, ask, and understand things that simply can’t be taught on slides.

This intimate experience is designed for serious ALF owners and operators who want:

  • Personalized guidance based on their specific facility or goals

  • CEO-level strategy around operations, leadership, and growth

  • Real-time conversations in a trusted, small-group setting

  • Practical insight you can apply immediately

I also want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Carlos and the team at Rosenberg Law Firm for their assistance in planning this Mastermind experience. Their support and collaboration have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

And a special thank-you to Allegro Fort Lauderdale for opening their doors and allowing us to host this experience at their beautiful location. Their team truly embodies what quality senior care looks like — making a meaningful difference for seniors and their families every day.

If you’re ready to go beyond theory and learn in a real-world setting alongside other committed leaders, this Mastermind is for you.

Service, Family, and the Power of Building Together
Systems Create Freedom, and People Make It Meaningful This month has been about two things that matter deeply to me:serving our clients well and honoring my family fully. I’ve been spending a lot of time building systems and strengthening my team. When done right, systems don’t create distance, they create freedom and impact. They allow you to serve more people, at a higher level, without losi...
Slowing Down to Move Forward — Welcome to 2026
A Gentle Start to a Powerful Year The first week of 2026 has been about slowing down — not because there’s nothing to do, but because clarity requires space. This year, I’m learning to say more no’s.No to overcrowded schedules. No to distractions. No to anything that pulls me away from who I’m called to be. And in doing so, I’m creating more room to say yes —Yes to changing more lives.Yes to dee...
One Decision Can Change Everything
Entering a New Season With Intention As the year comes to a close, I’ve been slowing down to review what truly matters — priorities, rhythms, and the kind of life I want to live while serving at a higher level. Right now, I’m planning family trips, refining our family routines, and being intentional about self-care and rest. One of our long-term family goals is to visit all 50 states — we’ve a...
